Are you familiar with the phenomenon of the belt that always seem to lie around wherever you look? Belts are often indispensable fashion items, but because of their impractical shape they often find themselves without a proper storage space. It can be tricky however to store them in a nice way. Where on earth do you put all those different colors and types away neatly? What are the really handy solutions for tidying up your belt-collection? We gladly share our 13 most used and inspiring tips.

The best tricks to store your belts

Storing your belts in a neat manner doesn’t have to be hard when you follow the tips below!

1. Towel rack

The ordinary towel rack in your room? You know, the racks with hooks or three movable bars. It belongs in the bathroom of course. But, you can also use it to keep your belts neatly organized together which saves a lot of searching.

2. Shoe box

Got a useless shoe box lying around somewhere? Don't throw it away! Place the cardboard shoe box in an easily accessible spot in your closet and voila, you've created a neat and useful container in which you can neatly store your rolled up belts.

3. Clothing hooks

One or two simple clothes hooks on the wall. Whether it is the most beautiful solution is up to you but if you hang the buckles of the belts on a hook you have them all together and you never lose them. Handy! A smart solution of course, because you hang your pants or dress immediately with the matching belt.

4. Leave them in your pants

Looking for a lazy solution? Just leave the belt in your pants! If you leave your belt in the loops of your pants or jeans and throw them on a rack or hang them on a hook together, you'll have everything nicely sorted

5. Put them in a container

Put them in a plastic tray or woven basket. You can find them in practically every home improvement store; you can hardly miss them. If you roll up your belts nicely, they will fit in there.

6. Separate shelf

You don’t have a basket or tray? Then go for a separate shelf in your closet. Move those sweaters and pants aside, because we're creating a shelf space especially for your leather men's or women's belts. If you put them a little higher in your closet they are also out of sight and you still have a nice permanent place made for your belts.

7. Sock/underwear drawer

Store them in the drawer of your bedside table or in a drawer unit in your wardrobe. Just move those socks, tights and underwear through and make room for those belts!

8. Over the clothes rack

Drape them over the clothes rack in your bedroom. If your t-shirt, shirt, blouse and pants leave any room left, there is probably room for the belt. You won't hang them all on there of course but one or two is no problem at all.

9. Under the bed

Throw them under your bed. What you don't see doesn't exist, right?

10. In a bag

Put your belts in a bag. Use them - especially one of those cardboard bags with a flat bottom - to store your belts and hang them neatly in your wardrobe.

Take advantage of the above tips, and you will definitely be able to store your belts in a neat and practical way. Whatever method you choose, be sure to store your belts in a way that keeps them from getting damaged. Avoid storing them in direct sunlight or in a damp environment, as this can cause them to warp or discolor. With proper care, your belts will last for many years.
