Makeup tips to match your spring and summer outfits

But you can just as easily find a good one for a good price at Walmart or CVS. Your eyebrows can truly define your face and appearance, so it’s definitely worth the try.

Highlight and contour makeup

Perhaps you have already heard of it before: highlighting and contouring. Just like full eyebrows, this is nothing new, but it’s still just as important if you want to give your face more definition. If you have ever watched a video from NikkieTutorials on YouTube or Mikayla Nogueira on TikTok, you will know they are true queens in this department. They create the most magical looks! But beware: you can also overdo it. In bright daylight you really don’t want a thick layer or it might change color or melt a bit. So don’t go overboard with highlighting and contouring when you’re out during the day in hot temperatures. Going out in the evening? Then you get to go all out with your highlight and contour! But what is it and what can it do? Contouring actually means shaping. You can create the illusion that your face has a different shape. You can do this by working with lighter and darker shadow effects. You can actually shape just about anything: from your nose to your forehead. But it is definitely a skill with a learning curve. What color lipstick?

Just to reiterate: there are no rules. There are however trends, that are definitely worth the hype: nudes and cherry blossom! Go for a nude lipstick during the day and then choose a more lively color at night. Not too bright, not too pigmented, just right for the occasion. Purple lipstick? You do you, but we haven’t found how to match the look yet. Not into a casual nude lipstick? Try a nude lip gloss at your local Ulta or Sephora.

Blue eyes

Blue eyes, aka blue eyes. Somehow this is the trend this spring and summer and it looks like it isn’t going anywhere just yet. Going for a blue version of the smokey eyes or a cut crease? Then don’t forget to match the color of your mascara with the rest of the look. Black mascara? Too tame, go crazy and try a shade of blue to really make that eye look pop. Sunset eyes

Want to go for a more neutral, soft summer look instead? In that case, just put miss blue aside. Would you rather make it a little darker or lighter? No problem at all. Tip: you can use any type of blush you have in your makeup collection on your eyes. Yes, we’re serious.

Glitters!

We can give a lot more tips, but glitter might be the best makeup tip with the fall and winter season in mind. Perhaps even important if you have a winter fest or Christmas party you want to look chic for. Don’t be afraid to experiment with glitters in your look, use it anywhere you like. Get a glittery lip gloss to put some extra sparkle on your nude lipstick, let your eyeliner have her moment or have a bright, glittery eye look to let your eyes sparkle.
