We have collected the most important hacks for sneakers for you. Check them out below and learn how to enjoy your sneakers so much more!

1. Order a suede brush

Suede and nubuck are usually pretty hard to clean. However, there is a solution to get them clean. There are special suede brushes available. With one of these, you can make sure that even those delicate materials will be cleaned thoroughly without damaging them.

2. Talcum powder

Do your shoes have a bad smell? You can, of course, spray deodorant into your shoes, although this isn’t the way to actually prevent the smell from occurring in the first place. So, do you suffer from sweaty feet? By using talcum powder on your feet before putting on your socks, you can prevent excessive sweating. You can also put talcum powder inside your shoes to keep them nice and dry. This way, you will find that you smell your shoes much less.

3. Make your shoes wider

Are your new shoes a little too tight and you don't really feel like walking on them for a prolonged period of time to make them adjust? Fortunately, you can do this a lot easier. Use a cotton swab, for example. By inserting them crosswise, you can stretch the shoes out a bit. Leave the shoes for a day, and notice the difference when you put them on again.

4. Store your shoes under the closet

Finding room for your shoes can often be a struggle. One way to solve this is to make a drawer under a cabinet. Often, cabinets are on legs so they are raised off the floor. If your shoes fit under the cabinet, you can easily store them there in the future.

5. Remove salt stains from leather (with vinegar)

Do you have salt stains on your leather shoes? Leather in particular can attract salt, which doesn't look neat. With a little vinegar you can often get it out nicely, however,

6. Prevent dirt in your backpack

Do you want to take another pair of shoes with you during your travel without getting your clothes dirty? Place them in a shower cap. It will fit tightly around your shoes, so any loose dirt won’t shed into your bag or trolley.

7. A lace through your keys

When you go running, where do you leave your house key? You can prevent it from falling from your pocket by pulling a shoelace through them and then tying your laces. As long as your laces are tied, the key won’t go anywhere!

8. Sand the soles for more grip

Many sneaker models have limited profile. This can especially be a problem when there’s snow outside, or when your soles are wet causing you to slip off the pedals in the car. There is a solution: sand the soles of your sneakers if you want more grip. Use fine sandpaper. You'll roughen up the sole a bit, preventing slipping when you hit the streets (or the pedals of your car).

9. Wear sheep's wool in your shoes

Do your favorite sneakers do a poor job of keeping your feet warm? Put a little sheep's wool in them. That way, they will always feel nice and warm while the wool hardly takes up any space inside the shoes.

10. Dry your shoes with newspapers

Need to dry your shoes quickly after a wet day? Put in a wad of newspapers or use kitchen paper, which will attract the moisture. Within a short period of time, the inside of the shoes will be dry.
